Family

This is the time of year for indulgence for sure. I certainly allow my children to indulge in more fizzy drinks and junk than I do normally but I do prefer that to be interspersed with healthier options.

If you are hosting this year, what a great way to introduce family members to your new sugar free recipes.

Joining in

For me personally I avoid Sugar entirely so it is important for me to have some festive sugar free options so that I do not get bored.

I also avoid alcohol which can be contentious at this time of year. Most adults will indulge in their tipple of choice at Christmas and it can be misunderstood when you don’t join in. Having some recipes on hand to go to so you are still joining in will help.

It is really difficult if you have a restricted diet during the festive period. All around you are temptations with food and drink and it can feel like an uphill struggle. I have written a post all about how to handle this time of year, hopefully this will help.

It is super important if you are restricting your diet to have things to eat and drink that you enjoy. Feeling deprived is not a festive feeling and being tempted by everyone else’s food and drink will not make for a happy time. So find recipes that you like and look forward to so you can join in the festivities and feel good about it.

The following recipes are festive drinks for all the family to enjoy.
