Keeping up with the Jones’
Christmas can be tricky if you are avoiding alcohol. It is almost expected that you will indulge at Christmas. You could certainly end up feeling left out if you don’t.
There are plenty of reasons to avoid alcohol and Sugar regardless of what time of year it is. It can feel awkward and sometimes depriving!
This recipe will allow you to drink something festive and delicious even if you are avoiding alcohol and or sugar. It will feel more special and is definitely healthier than the ordinary fizzy drinks people drink at this time of year.
It will also allow you to feel like you are “joining in” when everyone is enjoying the mulled wine, for all of you who find this easier than explaining why you are avoiding certain beverages. Win win!
Festive warm spiced apple Punch
This drink is made using 100% apple juice, I try to buy the best quality I can find. When warmed up the apple juice is really sweet, especially if you keep it warm for a while and keep going back for more! Which you undoubtedly will.
I have spiced it with my favourite Christmas spices; cinnamon and cloves. Nothing beats the aroma of this coning from your kitchen. I have also used oranges to add to the flavour. It adds another dimension.
I hope you enjoy it,
Health and happiness
